This commitment was powerfully demonstrated in at the beginning of this year, Chuck Anania and Joe Arminio, as members of our Sales team, joined a vital support campaign in the Dominican Republic, bringing essential exterior and roofing improvements to a community in need.
Roof4Roof has proudly aligned with Heed the Call World Missions, a transformative ministry of Abundant Life Worship Center of Whippany, New Jersey. This enduring partnership focuses on the holistic wellness of the Los Noranjitos community in the Dominican Republic. Since its inception, this mission has achieved significant milestones, from providing gift giveaways and sport clinics for children to organizing community meals and health clinics, all while fostering strong collaboration with local leaders.
A cornerstone of this long-term commitment is the development of a vibrant community center. Following the establishment of a large outdoor basketball court and play area, the vision for a central gathering place for the neighborhood, especially for young children and teenagers, began to take shape.
The period from 2022 to 2025 marks a critical phase, with a focused target to complete the community center’s construction. A significant step in this journey was the completion of the roofing project in February 2025, a vital effort that saw substantial commitment to secure its success. Furthermore, dedicated efforts are underway to finalize the finishing work on the second floor, bringing the community closer to realizing the full potential of this transformative space.
Back in February, Roof4Roof was honored to play a direct role in advancing this crucial project. Our dedicated team members, including our very own Chuck Anania and Joe Arminio, volunteered their time and resources, traveling to the Dominican Republic to contribute hands-on to the community center’s construction.
Their primary focus was the critical roofing project, where they donated materials and worked tirelessly to install the new metal roof, getting this vital part of the building underway.
Reflecting on the experience, Chuck Anania shared his perspective: “We went there as a group, volunteering our time and some funds to help continue the building of this community center for people of the neighborhood, mostly for young children and teenagers, to give them somewhere to go, somewhere to use their energies instead of other places.” He emphasized the long-standing dedication of the Abundant Life Church, noting their decade-plus effort in constructing the center, piece by piece, including the expansive outdoor basketball court.
Joe Arminio echoed this sentiment, highlighting the profound transformation he’s witnessed: “We’ve been helping this community for probably like 15, 20 years now through various different projects. We send a team pretty much every year to do work. We were able to build the roof for their community center. And these people 15 years ago had nothing, like literally nothing. And now there’s a community center, there’s a park, there’s a basketball court, and it’s a place for families to go and feel safe and have their kids go and enjoy a little bit of life.” This personal involvement underscores Roof4Roof’s deep commitment to the mission, ensuring that every effort directly benefits the community.
Chuck also made a personal donation to a maternity ward at a hospital in a nearby city, further extending the reach of their compassion. The vision for this community center, including a unique pizza oven to delight children who may have never experienced pizza, continues to inspire.
