On May 5, 2017 Chuck Anania, President and Founder of Roof4Roof, was recognized by the Russell Berrie Foundation, in conjunction with the Ramapo College of New Jersey, for his contributions to the community and selfless acts as an “Unsung Hero.”
Chuck Anania, a Bergen County resident, has extraordinary motivation to give back to his community and a record to prove it. Since 2010 Roof4Roof has helped over 700 families in the U.S. and abroad with donations of emergency home repairs and roofing. We’ve teamed up with Habitat for Humanity, Rebuilding Together, and Catholic Charities to identify families in need of assistance. Recently, we donated a new roof and gutters to a disabled cancer survivor in Bergenfield and major renovations to a family in Milburn who needed to create a safe environment for their autistic son.
Roof4Roof is a for-profit, for-progress company and donates a portion of the profits from each of their projects to families in need. Seeing the extreme poverty in Colombia and becoming a father 10 years ago motivated Chuck to envision a world where all families have a safe, dry place to call home. He took it upon himself to make that dream a reality. More than 200 families have been helped in NJ alone, along with more than 500 additional families overseas in Colombia, Guatemala, and the Philippines. We’re striving to help more than 1000 families in NJ and around the globe by 2020.
