Roofing Co. donates service to Bloomfield High

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – June 7, 2017 – New Jersey general contractor, Roof4Roof uses proceeds from every completed project to help a family in need. To date, Roof4Roof has helped more than 700 families in the US and abroad. The next family to benefit from their generosity is a fellow Bloomfield High School classmate of Roof4Roof president, Chuck Anania.

“One of life’s most basic needs is shelter. Keeping a safe, dry roof over your family’s heads has become increasingly difficult for many homeowners” says Roof4Roof President and Founder, Chuck Anania, about the families he seeks to help. It all started in 2010 when Anania visited Cali, Colombia. He was deeply moved by the extreme poverty and terrible conditions he saw: collapsing, leaky roofs posed serious health, safety and quality of life issues to many, including children and the elderly.

Anania knew he had to help in some way. Drawing on his nearly 20 years of roofing experience, he figured out a way to help those unable to help themselves in a continuous, sustainable way. And from there Roof4Roof was born.

While Anania often connects with Habitat for Humanity or Rebuilding Together to learn of New Jersey families in need, former Bloomfield High classmate, Nancy Canfora Araujo, the latest recipient of Anania’s giving, connected with Anania on Facebook.

Araujo, who had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2012, has been bed-ridden for more than two and a half years. It all started in 2010 when Anania visited Cali, Colombia. Araujo, who had been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2012, has been bed-ridden for more than two and a half years. Araujo’s mother, who is also her caretaker, has been emptying out buckets of water in the kitchen every time it rained for months. Canfora Araujo was concerned the roof may eventually collapse. She reached out to Anania hoping he would understand her circumstance and work with her on a payment plan for her roof. Instead, Roof4Roof replaced her flat roof at no charge. She was in disbelief when her estimator explained the project was being donated and had her sign a contracting explaining such.

“This is such a blessing. It’s unbelievable” says Araujo, who noted that she always remembered classmate Anania for his good heart.

“It makes me proud to give back to the community in which I grew up. Nancy is an incredible woman who has been through so much with her health. We are happy to help” says Anania.
